What is Acute Coronary Syndrome?

The term acute coronary syndrome when a condition is brought on by reduced blood flow that suddenly occurs. This can have symptoms like chest pain, like would be felt during a heart attack or like that of unstable angina.

In most cases this type of heart condition will be diagnosed in the hospital or emergency room, and acute coronary syndrome is treatable when diagnosed early enough. The type of treatment also depends on other types of health conditions, the symptoms and other factors.

The chest pain can also feel like the chest tightness that is felt when exercising or even when at rest like that of unstable angina. As quickly as possible after feeling any type of chest pain it should be diagnosed and properly treated. In the case of acute coronary syndrome it is important to begin treatment as soon as possible.
