What is End Stage Heart Disease? |
The Heart Disease begins to get worse and the patient is usually bed ridden and they can’t breath, extremely tired and weak. The patient’s skin may turn blue due to the lack of oxygen it is not getting and they will probably gasp for air. Abnormal heat beats or extra heart beats until the heart slowly stars to give out. This is very common for someone who has had atleast one heart attack and that suffers from congestive heart failure. With congestive heart failure a person body will swell and retain fluid. Sometimes they retain so much that their skin will burst. The inflammation causes the heart muscle to be crowded. The heart then begins to work harder to pump blood and oxygen through the body. After a while the heart is so tired it gives out. When a doctor tells you that this patient is in End Stage Heart Disease there is really not much more that they can do for this patient except to make them comfortable.
