How is Stress Related to Heart Disease?

Just recently stress has been related to heart disease by new studies. People that relate to stress are usually taking about two types of stress.

  1. Emotional stress
  2. Physicalstress

When people related to stress they usually refer to physical, however; it is really emotional stress that is the biggest factor with heart disease.

Physical stress is really known to be good for a “normal” heart. When a person exerts himself physically, this causes the heart beat a little faster and it is like exercise for your heart and arteries.

If you have a type of heart disease, this could put physical stress on the heart that it may not be able to handle. However; physical stress does not cause heart disease.

Emotional stress is the type of stress that people art talking about that causes a heart attack, the beginning of heart disease.

Evidence has it that emotional stress does cause heart attacks. It is also proven that people who are married live longer that those who are not.

People who are also  quick to anger or display frequent hostility have an increased risk of heart disease.

It does appear however; that the unrequited fight-or-flight reaction, if it occurs often enough and chronically enough, may be harmful.
