What Are Medications That Help Heart Disease?

Medications can help with prevention of heart disease and often times can help control it. There are a variety of medications that the doctor can subscribe for this reason. Aspirin is one of the leading medications but some cannot handle Aspirin.

For the ones that do not like Aspirin here is a small list of medications to help with your heart:

- Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitor also known as ACE.

- Digitalis

- Nitrates

- Beta Blocker

- Blood Cholesterol medications

- Diuretic

- Thrombolytic agents

Each medication is different on how it responds and what it does. All side effects also vary but most of them are usually the generic side effects. It's important to talk with your doctor about any changes that occur when you are taking these pills. All medications should be taking with at least 6-8 oz of water every day.
