How Does Obesity Affect Heart Disease? |
Obesity is an increasingly prevalent metabolic disorder affecting populations around the world. But 33% of the US population suffers from some sort of obesity. Almost 30 to 70% of obsess people are that way because of heredity. Even though we are aware of being overweight and even McDonalds is trying to lower the fat intake the sell to their customers. Fat intake added with calories does not make for a good diet, especially when there is very little or no exercise involved. Studies have shown in the past that middle aged obsessed women a 50% increase in risk of nonfatal or fatal coronary heart disease. These same studies show that obsess men aged 40 to 65 years of age had a 72% increased risk of having coronary disease. Oddly enough though these same studies were performed overseas and those ratios were only about 1/3 compared to those of the United States.
