What Can You do to Prevent Heart Disease

The one factor that we cannot control is the genetics of our family history. If you have great grandparents, grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, brothers or sisters to all likely to attract some type of heart disease in your lifetime. Give this type of medical history to your doctor.

Preventing heart disease outside of the generic factor is really rather easy. Get regular checkups, don’t smoke, and eat right. Get plenty of exercise, watch your weight.

Don’t let yourself get stressed out, this raises your blood pressure. Keep a check on your blood pressure and your cholesterol.

If you do have any of the problems above, listen to your doctor do what he tells you and take all medications as prescribed.

If want to eat right and need a list of what you should eat asked your doctor for a “heart healthy diet.” This will help in maintaining your blood pressure and cholesterol.

If you are overweight start now by dieting and exercising. When you watch what you eat and exercise for atleast 30 a day. You drop the weight and strengthen your heart and you will feel much better.
