What are some heart disease risk factors

There are some important heart disease risk factors that you should know about if you are worried about getting any type of heart disease. Please note that each person responds differently but these can give a basic guideline in helping you understand what you should watch out for.

Basic risk factors for heart disease explained:

- When heart disease runs in your family you are at a high risk factor for heart disease.

- Males have more of a heart disease than women.

- When you are over the age of 65 it puts you at a high risk.

- Being overweight can put you at a really high risk for heart disease.

- Your race might put you at a high risk for heart disease. American Indians, African Americans and Mexican Americans have a higher chance than most Caucasians.
