Vitamin E is found in some foods, and can also be taken as a supplement, this is a fat soluble antioxidant that’s helps fight free radicals in the body. The best natural sources of vitamin E are found in green leafy vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, whole grains and in papaya. There have been recent studies done that have shown vitamin E to be one of the vitamins that further research should not be done and should not be taken by heart disease patients. Their reasoning in this is in their research of vitamin E and beta carotene there was a slight increase in cardiovascular deaths. This recommendation not only includes the supplement vitamin E, but also over the counter daily vitamins that contain beta carotene and vitamin E. There have been other studies done that have shown vitamin E can help the cardiovascular patient, by controlling the free radicals in the body.
